Our Cathedral Ministries welcomes you to join us

FOLLOW SHIP AD (1)

Classes are scheduled periodically through each year and we meet on Sunday mornings at 9 AM.

You will gain a better understanding of the doctrine of the Apostles taught in the New Testament, and also a more clear understanding of your spiritual strengths.

What a great way to learn about The Cathedral of Pentecost and learn about yourself. We look forward to you becoming a part of a great team of saints and leaders, all for the purpose of serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

JESUS, OTHERS, AND YOURSELVES

JOY Logo-2

JOY University was inspired by the need to teach children to study more in the Bible than the famous bible stories they are accustomed to hearing. Each January, J.U. begins with classes that quiz and sometimes even assigns homework.  The final exam is given by proxy and it provides us with the status of the students biblical knowledge.

The J.U. students work hard toward achievement and receive awards at the end of the semester. It is exciting to see children at such a young age take the bible seriously.

Every summer, the children of the Cathedral are pumped up and ready for J.OY Scouts to begin. JOY Scouts is a hands on training experience to explore a variety of activities while learning to apply biblical principals in everyday life. ~Ages 5-14~

HELP

Helping people become...

Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Philippians 2:2-4

There are many ways to reach out to our community. The good Samaritan took no thought of himself, but rather showed mercy, kindness, and love, to a total stranger. The Cathedral's H.E.L.P. Community Outreach is a ministry focused on our neighbors and those around us.

The Parable of the Good Semaritan - Luke 10:25-37

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” 27 So he answered and said," ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ 28 And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” 29 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him,and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ 36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” 37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

We opened our Davie campus in February 2015, a ministerial training institution called Purpose Institute. This has been a dream for several years and we have watched how the Lord has orchestrated the entire process with His divine favor and approval. Our desire was to present an avenue through which our emerging leaders, teachers, soul-winners and young ministers can gain further knowledge and training for the Kingdom of God.

What is Purpose Institute?

Purpose Institute is a highly effective vehicle providing ministry education for local leaders while allowing them to remain faithful to their local church, their work, and their families. Students are given apostolic ministry, methods and doctrinal tools with which to enhance their effectiveness in the Kingdom.

There are four weekends in a semester, with the classes held on Friday evening and the following day, Saturday. Most church workers do not have the privilege of leaving their local area to attend a traditional Bible college, but with the flexibility of this one-weekend per month, it allows students with busy schedules of work, family, and church the opportunity to invest in ministry training.

The robust curriculum is both thorough and rich and has been meticulously reviewed by a distinguished panel of apostolic educators and ministers (see purposeinstitute.com for global staff and executive board of directors list).

The curriculum has incorporated the UPCI reading requirements into its study path for those who are pursuing licensure through the Florida District.

Guest speakers are brought in to lead their expertise into some of the Friday night Leadership and Pastoral Studies training sessions. The powerful line-up we have of guest speakers promises to be exciting and greatly beneficial to PI students.

We are happy to say that our PI campus is missions-minded, with 60% of all of our campus tuition going directly to fund other overseas PI campuses and students. Tuition is reasonable and we offer payment plans when one goes to register online. Spouses of registered students get a 90% discount on tuition (yes, that was typed correctly - 90%). To assist with more in-depth information concerning registration, curriculum, course overview and tuition, please go to Purpose Institute website http://purposeinstitute.com.

We are excited about this venture and feel the Hand of God upon the launch of Purpose Institute. Please call our office with any questions you may have. Thank you for partnering with us to facilitate Apostolic ministry training that will effectively equip workers for world harvest.

Sharpen the sickle without leaving the field.

"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also".                                  II Timothy 2:2

CARE

CARE Ministry Through Jesus' Eyes

Jesus showed care and compassion by first meeting the needs of the people. He ministered to five kinds of people: the hungry, the sick, the elderly, the disabled, and the hurt. The bible says that he that wins souls is wise -- Proverbs 11:30. Jesus is our greatest example of a soul winner. He knew when to minister to spiritual needs and when to minister to physical needs. Sometimes winning a soul for Christ requires us to first meet physical needs before meeting the spiritual needs.

1 Corinthians 12 (KJV)

24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same CARE one for another.

26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
